Venue Booking & Rental

The hall at The Burlington Oddfellows Lodge is available for booking as a small to medium sized events and performance space. To align with our mission, we try to make this space as affordable to the community as possible -- including sliding scale and donation-based rental fees for private events hosted by community members.

A sound system, projector and screen, folding tables and folding chairs, a kitchen (no frying permitted), and two outdoor grills are available to use.

We are an alcohol and substance free space. Events open to the public must be free or donation-based and all ages. Due to local sound ordnances, performances must wrap up by 10PM.

  • Events must abide by all local laws and ordinances.

  • Weapons of any kind are not allowed on the premises.

  • Sale, service, or other distribution or exchange of alcohol, cigarettes, cannabis, and other controlled or illegal substances are strictly prohibited.

  • No smoking, vaping or open flames are allowed in or around the Hall facility. The Lodge may designate marked outdoor smoking areas. Such areas must be more than 20ft from the building. Smoking outside of designated areas is prohibited.

  • No animals, except professional service dogs, are allowed in the Lodge facility.

  • An Odd Fellow must be present through the entirety of a booking and shall not be excluded for any reason.

  • If security is deemed necessary, the person requesting space is responsible for contracting and compensating an approved security team. Documentation required 3 weeks prior to the event

  • At the discretion of the Events Committee Chair on reservation: Hold Harmless, Proof of Insurance, Applicable Permits, Deposit Agreement (if a deposit is required).

  • The only official records of booked events are the online calendar and the whiteboard calendar in the southwest corner of the Lodge Hall. If the two calendars contradict, notify the Events Committee Chair.

  • Once a booking confirmation has been received, that is an agreement that the Odd Fellows will not cancel or move the event unless there is a policy violation.

  • Multiple events can be booked in advance, up to 6 sessions over a 3 month period.

  • Apply to book the space by emailing oddfellowsbtv@gmail.com or contacting the Events Committee.

Music Shows

  • This is an all-ages, substance & alcohol free venue.

  • We provide a sound system including a PA, amps, speakers, and 3 microphones. We do not provide a drum kit.

  • We do not have staff. Anyone who staffs the show are lodge volunteers! We are limited by our volunteers' availability - but if you have folks available to run the door or sound, that helps! Just let us know.

  • We do not sell tickets. We are only able to do "suggested donation" at the door. You may set the door fee.

  • To keep our space running, we ask for a donation to the lodge (usually 20% of the door fee.)

  • All bands must sign a Hold Harmless policy.

  • For more music specific guidelines, please email us at oddfellowsbtv@gmail.com.

Members hosting public or private events

  • Members will not be charged a fee, but a donation is suggested for any event with revenue.

  • The Events Committee will keep track of member space use and report if any problems occur from overuse, but for now there are no prescribed limits.

  • Committees or groups of members will submit applications to the Events Committee Chair. These events should generally get booking preference.

Non-member hosted public or private events

  • Commercial use will be charged $75 per hour plus 10% of ticket fees or dues if applicable.

  • Non-profit use will be charged $50 per hour.

  • Private, informal events do not not have a base rate. We suggest a donation of $20/hr, but we would happily accept any donation to keep the space open and accessible to everyone.

  • All cleaning and trash removal will be handled by the person who booked the space. At the time of booking they can opt to pay the Lodge a $200 cleaning fee and a $10 trash fee instead.

  • Booking the space requires a full deposit of all rates and fees.

  • Cancellations can be made 21 days in advance for a full refund of the deposit.

  • If an event goes longer than the booked time, that will be charged at double the normal rate.
